Naha Okinawa – ein paar Eindrücke

Eigentlich müsste ich ein Buch über die Reise schreiben, aber das meiste würde mir eh niemand glauben. Vielleicht gibt’s mal ein YouTube Video darüber.

Naha ist jedenfalls sehr schön. Ein bisschen heile Welt, ein bisschen kaputt, wundervolle nette Menschen, phantastisches Essen und unendlich viele Foto Motive. Schaut selbst, ich werde hoffentlich nochmal herkommen.

Tagsüber ist schon ordentlich was los, vor allem im Foodcourt Bereich. Nachts geht richtig was ab. Die Japaner feiern allerdings anders als wir in Europa. Sehr ruhig geht es zu. In kleineren Gruppen isst man gemütlich zusammen und trinkt dabei auch ordentlich. Es wird viel gelacht, aber es artet nicht aus. Polizei, wie bei mir Zuhause auf dem Kiez sieht und braucht man hier nicht. Es bleibt friedlich, gefällt mir.

Die Stadtmitte ist in kleine Bezirke aufgeteilt. Es gibt einen Food-, Party- und Shoppingbezirk. Alles sehr dicht beieinander. Braucht man ein wenig Ruhe sind kleinere Parks um die Ecke. Mit der Monorail ist man schnell da und auch wieder weg.

Anschluss findet man ganz schnell und ohne Zwang. Man wird als Ausländer eigentlich immer angesprochen und schnell in bestehende Gruppen aufgenommen. Themen findet man schnell genug. Die meistens Japaner waren auch schonmal in Deutschland. Komischerweise aber eher im Süden.

Ich habe mich sehr Zuhause gefühlt und bin froh hier Urlaub gemacht zu haben und viele neue Bekanntschaften sowie auch Freunde gefunden zu haben.

Naha Okinawa – a few impressions

Actually, I should write a book about the trip, but nobody would believe most of it anyway. Maybe there’ll be a YouTube video about it.

Anyway, Naha is very beautiful. A bit of a perfect world, a bit broken, wonderfully nice people, fantastic food and endless photo opportunities. See for yourself, I hope to come back again.

During the day there’s a lot going on, especially in the food court area. At night, things really get going. However, the Japanese party differently to us in Europe. It’s very quiet. People eat together in small groups and drink a lot. There is a lot of laughter, but it doesn’t get out of hand. You don’t see or need the police here like you do back home in the Kiez. It stays peaceful, I like that.

Downtown is divided into small districts. There is a food, party and shopping district. Everything is very close together. If you need a bit of peace and quiet, there are smaller parks around the corner. The monorail gets you there and back again quickly.

You can quickly make friends without any pressure. As a foreigner, you are always approached and quickly accepted into existing groups. You can find topics quickly enough. Most Japanese people have also been to Germany before. Strangely enough, they tend to be in the south.

It felt very much like home and I am glad to have spent my vacation here and to have made many new acquaintances and friends.
