Divevolk – SeaTouch 4 MAX Plus Erfahrungsbericht

Auf Okinawa hatte ich endlich die Zeit, das Gehäuse von Divevolk ausgiebig zu testen, das ich kurz vorher hier gekauft hatte. Insgesamt war es bei gut 50 Tauchgängen dabei.

Ich hatte mir auch das Tray dazu gekauft um es besser zu bedienen und halten zu können. Eine gute Entscheidung. Auch das Befestigen während des Tauchgangs ist so viel einfacher, da ich einen Karabiner pro Seite befestigen konnte und den jeweils an einem D-Ring befestigt habe. Das Handy ist einfach in dem Gehäuse unterzubringen.

Zwei Rändelschrauben an der schmalen Seite öffnen und das Handy mit derm passenden Einschub reinschieben, Schrauben wieder festziehen und das war’s schon.An der Oberfläche war es super einfach, das Handy in den Kamera Modus zu bringen. Ab 8 Meter war es für mich sehr nervig. Deshalb sollte man den Kamera Modus auf  „always on“ stellen und hat dann seine Ruhe.

Die Zoom Funktion war super einfach zu bedienen, als würde man an Land das Handy nutzen. Ebenso ging es sehr einfach, zwischen Kamera und Video Aufnahme zu wechseln.

Ich hatte mein „altes“ S21 Ultra benutzt und bin ziemlich zufrieden mit der Qualität. Klar, man muss jedes Bild nachbearbeiten aber das ist für mich kein Hexenwerk.Auch nach all den Tauchgängen ist für mich keine nennenswerten Gebrauchsspuren erkennbar. Gerade Kratzer vor der Linse wären ärgerlich gewesen. Dafür kann man sich aber auch einen extra Schutz aus Neopren kaufen. Macht wahrscheinlich Sinn.

Insgesamt bin ich sehr zufrieden, da das Gehäuse mit entsprechend guter Handy Kamera schon wesentlich besser ist, als die GoPro.

Auch kostentechnisch ist man wesentlich besser bedient, zumal jeder ein Handy hat und es auch mit dem Divevolk Gehäuse nutzen kann.

Ich denke wenn man zu dem Tray noch Lampen nutzt, wird die Qualität wesentlich besser.

Zu einer richtigen Kamera fehlt natürlich noch einiges, logisch. Für Taucher und Schnorchler ist das aber schon ziemlich gut und vor allem günstig.

On Okinawa I finally had the time to test the Divevolk housing extensively. I used it on a good 50 dives and also bought the tray to make it easier to use. A good decision. I bought it right here.

Attaching it during the dive is also much easier, as I was able to attach one carabiner per side and attach it to a D-ring, and the cell phone is easy to store in the case.

Open two knurled screws on the narrow side and slide the phone in with the appropriate slot, tighten the screws again and that’s it.on the surface it was super easy to put the phone in camera mode. From 8 meters it was very annoying for me. That’s why you should set the camera mode to „always on“ and then you have peace of mind.

The zoom function was super easy to use, just as if you were using the cell phone on land. It was also very easy to switch between camera and video recording. I had been using my „old“ S21 Ultra and am pretty happy with the quality. Sure, you have to post-process every picture, but that’s not rocket science for me, and even after all the dives I haven’t noticed any significant signs of use.

Scratches in front of the lens would have been annoying. But you can also buy extra neoprene protection for this. Probably makes sense.

All in all, I am very satisfied, as the housing with a good cell phone camera is already much better than the GoPro.

In terms of cost, you are also much better served, especially since everyone has a cell phone and can also use it with the Divevolk housing.

I think if you use lamps in addition to the tray, the quality will be much better.

Naturally, there is still a lot missing from a real camera. But for divers and snorkelers, this is already pretty good and, above all, inexpensive.
