Jahrelang war ich mit diversen Kameras Unterwasser unterwegs. So richtig zufrieden war ich nie (das Divevolk Gehäuse war da schon mit großem Abstand das beste).
Jetzt habe ich mich nach langem Überlegen für ein professionelles Gehäuse inklusive Kamera entschieden.
Das Gehäuse inklusive des 8″ Domeports ist von Salted Line, die Kamera ist eine Sony Alpha 6500. Warum ich mich für einen 8″ Domeport aus Acryl entschieden habe? Acryl ist wesentlich leichter und da ich damit vor allem im Ausland fotografieren werde, war das ausschlaggebend. 8″ sorgen für weniger Verzerrungen. Natürlich habe ich aufgrund der Kratzer Anfälligkeit einen Neopren Schutz für den Domeport und die Kamera gleich mit gekauft. Hier zu sparen wäre falsch.
Der Zusammenbau war denkbar einfach und wirklich schnell gemacht.
Demnächst kommen noch Blitz und Lampen. Da bin ich noch nicht ganz sicher welches System ich mir holen will.
Anschließend gibt es dann ein paar Tauchgänge um mich mit dem Setup vertraut zu machen.

The whole setup was very easy to assemble and came together quickly without complications.
Current Status / Expansion Planned
At the moment, the system is still being expanded. I still need to mount arms for my lights and strobes, as I haven’t decided yet which lighting system I will ultimately go with.
That will be the next step.
After that, I plan to do a few dives to really get comfortable with the new setup and fine-tune my workflow underwater.

Nothing wrong with a Gopro. I still use one with my camera set-up. It’s attached to my larger camera in the cold shoe.
I’ll still use the GoPro for videos, but not for pictures anymore. No zoom. What kind of camera do you have?
I’m shooting on a GH5 and use several lens (14-42, 60mm or 90mm) depending on what I’m looking for… I prefer shooting macro..
